Label (point) feature class of Miami-Dade County Private Schools facilities.

To identify Private Schools  location in Miami-Dade County.
  
This layer is use by MDPD to generate their Landmark dataset.  It is critical that the content of the "Name" fields be unique.  A lack of uniqueness in the name field will pose problems to MDPD CrimeView application and field officers who will be unable to select the correct site easily.  The method used to create name uniqueness was by adding the following to site name: H_Num, St_Name, and City.

Procedures_Used:
Data was provided by the Local/Stated School Board in a txt format and was geocoded to Address, rejects were geocoded to Street Network then, aligned to the property using Digital Orthophotography in ArcGIS.  
  
Periodically this data is updated as per memo from Ms. Marie-Jean Francois - Intelligence Analysis Section - phone: 305-471-2752.

Reason: About five of the schools were moved to the correct city - for example, points were in Homestead that should be in Miami. Another three or four were already in the correct city, but were moved up to eight miles to the correct location - for example, AIU High School needed to be moved from "NW 19TH AVE" to "NE 19TH AVE".  Dozens of other schools required address attribute corrections - usually the pre-dirs - as well as zip code attribute corrections.  165 schools were moved from their locations over the street centerline to the correct property based on info gathered on the web as well as phone calls when deemed necessary.  These 165 do not match lprop and should not be regeocoded.  Added eight schools that we happened upon during our research.  To do:  Continue adding records from NCES data.
